
We are excited to welcome our new piano instructor Ms. Bilinda Lou to the Musician’s Workshop family!
Ms. Lou is an experienced piano educator and performer with over a decade of teaching students of all ages and levels. She holds an Artist Certificate from Azusa Pacific University, where she studied under Dr. Eugene Alcalay, a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder (studying with Doris Lehnert and receiving chamber music coaching from Professor Margaret McDonald), and a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance (Cum Laude) from Wright State University, where she studied with Dr. Jackson Leung and received additional training in percussion.
Ms. Lou has taught at numerous respected institutions, including Rhapsody Education, Neighborhood Music School, and Lee’s Music, among others. Her students are regularly prepared for ABRSM and Certificate of Merit exams, as well as competitions, recitals, and auditions. Her teaching style is structured yet adaptable, with a focus on technique, theory, musicianship, and stylistic interpretation.
In addition to her teaching, Ms. Lou is an active performer. She has appeared in concert across the United States, as well as in Austria (Salzburg, Vienna), Singapore, Australia (Sydney, Melbourne), Taiwan, and China (Beijing, Guangzhou, Macau). She has also performed as a soloist with the Colorado Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, the Wright State University Chamber Orchestra, and the Macau Orchestra. She remains active as a church pianist, choir accompanist, and collaborative musician.
